Last week the FCC released the official
National Broadband Plan. The
plan includes some lofty goals including at least 100 million US
Homes having network download speeds of at least 100 Mbps by
2020!
While some service providers are
concerned that the plan may include additional laws and regulations
within the market, the benefit of the plan to free up additional
broadband spectrum (500MHz over the next 10 years for mobile
broadband) plays well for service providers and mobile operators...
